Assimilation Process

How do I join Summit?

Church membership is an important part of a belivers life: a part we take very seriously.  There are three ways to join Summit Baptist Church.

1. By Profession of Faith and Baptism
2.  By Letter from a sister church or same theological standing.
3. By statement.

What Can I expect When I Join?

1. Each new member at Summit is assigned to a Sunday School Class and contacted by the Class' Outreach Leader.
2. A visit or phone call from the Assimilation Team will provide a Pictorial Directory and information kit on Summit Ministries.
3. The new members are then invited to attend a newcomers class to help acclimate them to our discipleship process and avenues of service.
4. A follow-up contact will be made at 30 and 90 days to make sure the new member is finding their way into a small group Bible Study and developing relationships within the church.
